Women in Movement
Cover Story: Colby Schinto
The Cover Stories marked the origins of Women in Movement, created to give women's stories the presence and weight they deserved. The belief was that if a story is framed with the right intention — packaged with the same care and seriousness given to the most visible cultural figures — it becomes much harder to ignore.
The framework behind the Cover Stories was simple: highlight and celebrate women in spaces where young girls often only saw men. Showcasing not only women who had already established themselves but also those actively in the process of chasing their goals. Representation of achievement, but also of the pursuit itself. Giving story.
As the second cover story, Colby Schinto embodied the intent of the series. Still early in her career, she had already become one of the youngest women certified as an NBA agent. Her feature was about more than her title — it was about capturing the process of breaking through, the tension of pursuit, and the resilience it demanded.

To tell her story, a full editorial shoot was directed with Photographer Isa Dimaranan and Hair/Makeup Artist Kirstin Gavina. The experience was about giving these stories the weight and presence they deserved — but it quickly became clear it was much more than that.
Looking back, what stands out most is the presence of power that filled the room. With so few resources and so many limitations, what came together felt undeniable. There was a sense of pride in seeing what this group of women was able to build, and a deep happiness in seeing Colby held in that light. The outcome was more than a spread — it was a moment of empowerment that continues to resonate.
